This method enables providing actionable feedback. The structure helps to be constructive, talking both about desired and undesired behaviours in a team, aiming for motivation and ultimately personal growth.
1. Make time and room
Agree on a suitable time and find a place for the conversation.
2. Prepare the template (5–10')
Print out and assemble the template.
3. Define the roles (2')
Agree on who will provide feedback first.
4. Start (25')
Go through the stages, use the template for guidance or to make notes if desired:
Context (10’), Evaluate (10’), Action plan (15’).5. Exchange roles
The feedback giver now becomes the feedback receiver. The reciprocal component generates an environment of trust and fairness.
6. Repeat (25')
Pre-defined frequency helps to build the habit of giving feedback. Monthly frequency is a good start.
